About Us

PM Garden Design's, owner Paul Meyers recently relocated to the Tampa Bay area from the Washington, DC metropolitan area where he worked as a landscape designer for 20 years. Paul is excited to be in the Florida tropics to work with a new plant palette where he continues to focus his skills on residential design projects ranging from small urban gardens to large suburban properties.

Having graduated from Penn State University with a bachelors degree in landscape architecture and as a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, Paul brings a wide background of experience in all facets of landscape design and installation including: Drafting, CADD design, Project Management, Crew Management & Horticultural expertise. Paul has a great passion for transforming outdoor spaces into beautiful, relaxing private gardens that will meet YOUR individual needs and specifications. Bring his passion to your home.

How We Work

Design Consultation

Starting with a discussion about how you'd like to use your yard, we can design your outdoor space to fit your aesthetic and lifestyle. I will schedule an initial meeting at your home to discuss your vision for your space. This meeting is free of charge and is a great opportunity to identify what you would like to have done.

Site Inspection

I will take a look at your property and examine the specific area(s) for landscape installation. I will give you a written Design Contract at this time which explains the Design Fee for your Landscape Master Plan. If no design work is required, I will put together a written proposal outlining the work to be performed.

Master Plan

After you decide to begin work with me to develop your Landscape Master Plan, i will require your signed copy of the Design Contract. If you have access to your property survey, I will need that as well. Once i receive this, i will conduct a detailed site analysis. This includes existing walkways, porches, decks retaining walls, patios and any existing plant material that will remain.Once all this information is obtained, I will begin work on the Landscape Master Plan.

Design Review

Once the design is complete, I will set up a time for us to meet to review the design. You will also receive an itemized installation estimate at this time. This is when your design fee is due.

Installation Service

After the Landscape Master Plan is completed, we can then discuss the installation process. The installation process can happen in different phases to allow for budgetary restrictions. I will help you define the different phases if need be. Once we decide on the scope for installation, i will put together a Landscape Installation Contract. Payments will be set up according to specific completion of certain landscape elements. Once i have the signed contract and deposit for work, we will get you scheduled to begin.
