In my experience, new customers often have questions regarding the landscape design process.

Initial Meeting:
I will schedule an initial meeting at your home to discuss your vision for your new landscape. This meeting is free of charge and is a great opportunity to identify what you would like to have done. I will take a look at your property and examine the specific area(s) for landscape installation. I will give you a written Design Contract at this time which explains the Design Fee for your Landscape Master Plan. If no design work is required, I will put together a written proposal outlining the work to be performed.

Beginning Design Process:
After you decide to begin work with me to develop your Landscape Master Plan, I will require your signed copy of the Design Contract along with a deposit for half of the design fee. If you have access to your property plat, a copy of that will be needed as well.

At this time, I will come back to your home to conduct a detailed site analysis of any existing walkways, porches, decks, retaining walls and existing plant materials that will remain. Once all of this information is obtained, I will begin work on the Landscape Master Plan.

Completed Design:
After completing your design, I will set up a time to present to you. We will meet at your home and I will go over all of the new masonry, carpentry and/ or plants that make up your design. You will also be presented with an itemized installation proposal for the completed design. You do have the opportunity to make some minor revisions to the plan once you have had a chance to mull over the design. The remainder of the design fee will be due at this time.

Installation Process:
After the Landscape Master Plan is complete, we can then discuss the installation process. The installation process can happen in different phases to allow for budgetary restrictions. I will help you define the different phases if need be. Once we decide on the scope for installation, I will put together a Landscape Installation Contract. Payments will be set up according to specific completion of certain landscape elements. Once I have the signed contract and deposit for work, we will get you scheduled to begin.

Project Installation & Completion:
During the installation process I will be onsite to supervise the creation of your new landscape. I will work closely with you and my team of contractors to make sure we meet all your expectations. Our team will complete your project in a timely and orderly fashion. Once the installation is complete, we will go over a maintenance plan for your garden and make sure we have completed all the items on the installation contract. Now that your new garden is complete you can sit back and enjoy your new landscape environment!
